Little Qualicum Cheeseworks is a small family run cheesemaking facility located on a picturesque Vancouver Island farm. We are a small team of farmers, cheesemakers and food lovers, working together to create excellent products with milk from our happy herd of cows. At Little Qualicum Cheeseworks we strive for excellence in all areas. We have an energetic and goal oriented environment in a unique facility.

This position will require weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Additional days may be flexible.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and serve customers
• Prepare food and equipment for the day
• Make cafe drinks to order
• Prioritize and organize tasks on a daily and weekly basis
• Ensure quality is maintained in each aspect of food preparation
• Stock shelves as needed
• Manage risk of contamination with diligent cleaning/sanitizing of workplace
• Ensure food safety procedures are adhered to
• Look after daily/weekly cleaning and sanitizing checklists in café and store areas and other common areas as needed.

Experience an asset but not required.

Must be able to lift heavy objects.
