It's a Love-Hate Story.
We never thought we'd be saying this, but starting August 30th we will no longer be allowing dogs on the farm.
For years, we’ve enjoyed being a dog-friendly location. This has been a really great thing for the doggos, their owners, and heck, even our staff! After all, who doesn't love making new four-pawed friends at work?
It’s been a good thing for the dogs, mainly because it means they don’t have to stay in the car. Besides, what a fun place to experience all sorts of new smells!
It’s also been a good thing for people travelling with pets. Everything is just that much better when your dog can come with you!
However, there is one kink in what was a nice situation: Noodle.
If you don’t know, Noodle is Chelsea & Albert’s family cat. You may have seen him around, particularly near the milk vending area. He is quite a charming kitty, has a funny little meow, and is good with kids. His weakness though? Dogs. He simply can’t be around them. Somehow he gets triggered and the claws come out at anything in his way. It’s not nice.
There have been efforts to keep him inside particularly during open hours, but as you know cats, they operate on their own schedule and sometimes don’t come back when you want them to.
So it makes us sad to say that, effective this weekend (August 30th), we will no longer be allowing dogs on the farm. We understand this will take some time to transition, and believe us, we’re very sorry it’s come to this!
We hope you can understand the difficulty in making this decision, and we’ll certainly miss seeing your furry friends around the farm. 😢❤️🐾
